Saturday the 3rd of December was the Much Wenlock Christmas Fayre and lights switch on. They closed off the whole of the town and had 100 stalls for visitors to peruse comprising of gifts, trinkets and of course food.
With carol singers, live music and false snow spraying out of some of the windows at random intervals the whole town felt festive and really got everyone into the Christmas spirit.
There so much to see and buy but as we arrived at lunchtime I definitely gravitated towards the food. As well of some Christmas type food offerings there was some Indian and Asian cuisine on offer. I love Indian food so I got myself some samosa's and onion bhajis (very festive amiright?!)
There was so much to look and so many stalls a lot of them being from local vendors (got to support your local community.) There were tonnes of Christmas decorations and wreaths. Homemade mulled wine was being sold from every angle (sadly I was driving.)
Then at 16.30pm it was time for the lights switch on which was the main event of the evening after all who doesn't love some nice Christmas lights?!
Overall the fayre was packed! There was a wide variety of stalls that everyone could enjoy and it was just a fun way to spend the day and get in the mood for Christmas.
