My 2020 Goals

Thursday, 26 December 2019

It's that time of year again when everybody sets out the goals they want to achieve in the coming year, so I thought I would share with you the goals that I would like to achieve in 2020. Think of it as an early new years resolution/goal setting post if you will.

1. Complete my Dissertation/University Degree - This is a work in progress currently, I have started and am in the process of completing my dissertation for my BSc degree. Once this is complete I will have officially finished and completed all the work that goes towards my degree. I am of course aiming to complete this to the best of my ability and am hoping for a 2:1 or even a 1st if the overall marks go in my favour.

2. Continue Going to the Gym - Another overlapping goal. I have been going to the gym for the past year but in 2020 I really want to work on the 'gains' so to speak and increase my strength and muscle mass.

3. Go on a Group Tour Solo - An idea that has been floating around my head a lot recently is going on a guided group tour on my own to travel an area of the world I really want to see and to meet new people. There are so many amazing tours and destinations that do not have to be long term and I really would love to put myself out of my comfort zone and complete this goal. Particularly if it involves a trip to Asia!

4. Save Money - Travel aside I want to cut down spending on unnecessary things and put more into my savings, maybe even eventually look into mortgages eek!

5. More Blog Posts - I have so many draft posts from places I have visited it is unreal and I want to be posting on this blog more frequently. It is something I used to really enjoy doing and I want to connect back with that.

6. Be More Confident in Myself - I'm sure this is one we all say but I do want to be more confident in myself and my abilities and challenge myself going forward after my degree by applying for different opportunities.

7. Be More Grateful - Overall for the year of 2020 I also want to be more grateful of what I already have rather than focusing on what I do not have.
