UK Destinations I Want to Visit
Coronavirus is looking like it is here to stay for the foreseeable future and due to this all travel abroad is either being cancelled or advised against. I am aware some people are currently travelling abroad and booking new trips for this year but with the circumstances being what they are I have realised I am not comfortable with the idea of travelling abroad currently.
With this in mind and being an avid traveller who likes to have at least one trip to look forward to a year I have decided to put together a UK Bucket List or as people are calling it 'staycation' destinations that I want to visit in the UK. Below are the destinations or sights that I have never been to that I would love to visit:
1. Lake District
The Lake District was at the top of my list at the start of drafting this post. Since then I have in fact had a mini 'staycation' at the lakes. Me and a friend booked an airbnb for a long weekend and visited a few of the lakes and went on many walks. This was a very active trip and while the weather was not the best we still got to view some lovely scenery and got to visit both Ullswater and Windemere Lakes. I would love to head back up to Cumbria and visit a few of the other lakes and complete some of the walks that we did not manage to get to.
2. Bath
2. Bath
A city I have always wanted to visit is Bath known for its rich culture and heritage the city even being a world heritage site itself! I have always wanted to visit the Roman Baths and admire the classic architecture that the city has to offer. Me and my boyfriend are hopefully having a staycation in Somerset in November and we are hoping to visit Bath as well so that will be another destination ticked off the bucket list.
3. Isle of Skye
3. Isle of Skye
Right up in the North West of Scotland lies the Isle of Skye known for its picturesque villages and rugged landscape with plenty of Medieval Castles to visit. I know a few people who have visited and the pictures they took were nothing but stunning. To me this seems like the perfect place to switch off and immerse yourself fully in the nature that surrounds you.
4. Brecon Beacons
The Brecon Beacons is a mountain range in the South of Wales there is a National Park and two National Walking Trails for visitors who want to hike to their hearts content. The perfect trip for the outdoorsy person or anyone wanting a trip away from the current situation with thinking space.

5. Stonehenge
A monument I feel I should have seen is Stonehenge this prehistoric monument in Wiltshire consists of a ring of stones 3 feet high and seven feet wide. The whole site is a National Trust and while I have heard rumours that it can be a bit of a let down due to over tourism and the fact that railings bar you from going near the stones it is still one of those iconic sites that I feel like I should visit and should have already seen at least once in my 27 years.
What destinations are currently on your 'staycation' holiday bucket lists? If you have visited any of the destinations I have mentioned please feel free to leave sight recommendations in the comments below.
