 A Mykonos Getaway

Hotel - Myconian Korali

For our stay in Mykonos we picked the Myconian Korali Hotel, this hotel is rated 5 stars and the service did not disappoint. You are taken care of from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave. The hotel upgraded our room free of charge to a Rinia with a balcony and side sea view. This room was spacious and very modern with a bathroom intergrated into the large room with two mirrors and sinks and a giant freestanding bath.

All of the amenities were supplied for us more than the usual shampoo and shower gel. There were toothbrushes, sponges, a sewing k
it as well as dressing gowns and an ironing board being provided.

As well as all of this the room had access to a mini bar if desired and the hotel also left us some complimentary items in the room including 2 bottles of water,  a bottle of Muscat Wine and a pot of Turkish delight. The water and Turkish delight were topped up numerous times during our stay.

There were also many facilities on site including numerous restaurants and pools at the other hotels in the chain and guests have access to all of these. With the Myconian Korali the pool we went to the majority of our stay was their on site infinity pool, this area ad stunning views over Chora.

The staff were lovely and welcoming and the food at the hotels was stunning. As part of our holiday we had breakfast included this was mostly a buffet but there were optional extras you could request I had the pancakes with berries and chocolate sauce the one day and it was gorgeous I wish I could eat it again!

I couldn't recommend this hotel more for a relaxing stay in Mykonos.

Activities

Mykonos Windmills...  A must see landmark in Mykonos are the no longer operational Windmills. Located in the town against a beautiful view, this is one of the perfect places to get that instagram shot.

Shopping... The town is full of winding alleyways with various independent shops and cafes throughout. Perfect for finding that souvenir to commemorate your trip or splurging on yourself at one of the more expensive stores.

Beaches...  Mykonos Mykonos is full of beaches and beach bars that you can go to, one of the most popular being Paradise Beach. However we didn't visit any of the beaches bar the small one in the town as we were making the most of the hotel facilities.

Little Venice...  Visit Little Venice in the town wander round the many shops and grab a drink with a stunning seafront view

Visiting Delos... Another option when visiting Mykonos is to take a trip to one of the surrounding islands like Delos or Paros. We heard very good things about these islands but due to ferry timings we were unable to visit.

Food

Baboulas Ouzeri... We ate here on our first night the restaurant had a lovely view over the sea perfect for the sunset. Here we got some Tzatziki with gluten free pitta bread and we both opted for the Baboulas Nest which is French fries with myconian sausage.

Captains... A mixture of seafood and meat dishes my boyfriend had the Captain's Octopus with feta in a red tomato sauce which he said was lovely and I opted for the chicken souvlaki.

Bon Bon Fait Maison... Crepes that are naturally gluten free? Yes please! These were incredibly tasty I would recommend these even if you are not gluten free. They also sell other sweet things like gelato, mochi and macarons.

D'angelo... An Italian restaurant that does gluten free pasta, the food here was amazing I had Chicken, rice and Mediterranean vegetables with garlic bread and everything was so tasty! My boyfriend had chicken fillet with pasta and vegetables in a rose sauce with aromatic herbs.

Rouvera...  A mixture of Mediterranean, Seafood and Greek food we visited here on our last evening and had a wonderful meal including feta cheese with honey, stuffed peppers and tomatoes and a stunning beef steak.
